ETDE makes cities, building and transport safer and more comfortable for users and the neighbouring population. It thus improves their life or work environment whilst preserving everyone’s private life. Its knowledge of cutting-edge technology (radio networks, powerline communication) allows it to propose safe and adaptable, reliable and innovative solutions.
Safer cities
Beyond public lighting which strongly contributes to making safer cities, ETDE also has complementary knowledge on making cities better places to live. From upstream to downstream ETDE leads projects which can combine:
- Video surveillance (with dynamic detection software, infrared, etc.);
- Tricolour Stop Lights;
- Marking and lighting (road limitations);
- Pedestrian management;
- Dedicated signs for the handicapped (sound alerts for pedestrian passages, etc.);
- Alert networks for Seveso-classified cities (ex. Gonfreville L’Orcher).
Relax when travelling
ETDE has special skills and is a benchmark for safe transports. It manages the entire value stream, from design to delivery, with multiple skills and know-how:
- Video surveillance on roads and railway stations;
- Safe tunnels;
- Signs and safe railway tracks;
- Control centres;
- Information panels for travellers;
- Warning networks.
Buildings under control
ETDE puts in place high performing solutions, from design to delivery and maintenance, to protect property and persons in a building, whatever type it may be (tertiary or industrial):

The Plaza Centers group has chosen Szigma-Coop, a Hungarian subsidiary of ETDE specialised in environmental and thermal engineering, for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, (HVAC) and fire protection, as well as designing the technical management of the buildings.
