ETDE, Bouygues Construction’s electrical
contracting and maintenance subsidiary, moved to consolidate
and further boost growth in its corporate telecoms
services integration activity when ETDE Réseaux
et Communications became Exprimm’iT on February
21, 2008.
Having been a player in the corporate communications
infrastructure segment since 1995, ETDE Réseaux
et Communications has gradually expanded its offering
of specialist telephony services for businesses to
become a fully fledged voice-over-IP service operator.
The name change reflects Exprimm’iT’s
positioning as an integrator of voice-data-image (VDI)
communications infrastructure services. Its comprehensive
offering of consultancy, audit, integration, maintenance,
supervision and operation capabilities encompasses
the entire spectrum of current technologies, including
network infrastructures (in partnership with leading
equipment manufacturers), video protection, unified
communication (Linux, Microsoft, etc.), infrastructure
security (intrusion detection, application Firewalls,
etc.), information systems management tools, and much
more.
Alain Hérupé, Managing Director of Exprimm’iT,
said: “This new service offering keeps pace
with the latest technological developments and market
trends, which have led to the emergence of new requirements
such as portability, mobility and VDI convergence,
leading in turn to a need for new solutions in areas
like security and IT outsourcing. It also addresses
a new concern among our customers, who are looking
to optimise their return on investment, while at the
same time expecting better quality and a higher level
of service.”
Managing Director Alain Hérupé has been
joined by Eric Hohbauer, who was appointed Deputy
Managing Director of Exprimm’iT on February
1, 2008.
Services that complement ETDE’s FM
offering
ETDE’s facilities management capabilities
encompass the full range of hard and soft
FM services for the benefit of businesses
and employees. As part of ETDE’s Facilities
Management Division, Exprimm’iT (the
“iT” stands for Information
Technologies) will further round out the
group’s FM offering.

Exprimm’iT will also benefit from
the European presence of ETDE’s Facilities
Management Division, notably in the UK,
Switzerland and Italy.
Exprimm’iT also boasts a raft of opportunities
for growth, via contracts with existing
customers of the Facilities Management Division,
through involvement in complex long-term
projects like hospital and university PFIs,
and via partnerships with other entities
within the Bouygues Group (for example Axione
and Bouygues Télécom).
Thanks to the new entity, with its 300 employees,
personnel numbers within Facilities Management
in France will rise to 2,000 by 2010, while
sales will increase to €250 million.
