About ETDE - Strategy
Coverage in France
ETDE has implemented a development strategy targeting front-line prominence in energy networks, electrical, mechanical and HVAC engineering, multi-disciplinary maintenance and building services, communications systems.

To achieve this goal, ETDE pursues an acquisition policy with two main objectives:

Denser geographical coverage in France, for more efficient contact with local clients.
New skills, for enhanced response to broader and more complex client needs.

Since 2002, ETDE has acquired more than 50 new companies and groups, representing over 8,000 new employees.

Major operations in 2005/2006 were as follows:
Aygobère, (utility networks, electrical and HVAC engineering in south-western France; € 35 million in sales and a workforce of 300),
Imatec (design, installation, maintenance of air conditioning systems and swimming-pools water cleaning in northern France; €30 million in sales for 2006),
Team, later merged under ETDE Industries (industrial maintenance, primarily in the automotive sector),
Axione, broadband network operator for local authorities,
 
Stefal and SMS (specializing in installation and maintenance of HVAC equipment; 51 million euros in sales and a workforce of 410),
Lignest (electrical networks), first foothold for ETDE in Alsace).

Since 2005, ETDE extended its development strategy to Europe.

Major European operations were as follows:
David Webster, the UK's third-largest street-lighting contractor (400,000 light points),
Icel, specialised in multi-disciplinary maintenance in the UK,
ETDE Contracting, specialised in thermal / HVAC engineering; full service provider for engineering and installation of clean rooms;
in the UK,
Balestra Galiotto, specialised in heating and air conditioning in Switzerland.
ETDE Hungary ZRT in Hungary, specialized in installation and maintenance of air conditioning equipments.

On the international front, ETDE develops all its electrical engineering and maintenance businesses, either through specific high-added-value projects or through regional subsidiaries with long-standing coverage of their markets: Sogec in Central Africa, Sidelaf in Western Africa, Frelco in Southern Africa, Electel in Central America, etc.

ETDE's international ambition is to develop a sustainable network of efficient centres capable of offering the full spectrum of ETDE skills and taking part in major international projects involving ETDE expertise.
